The PhD Seminar is a weekly meeting where PhD students give presentations on their current research.
This academic year the colloquium takes place on Wednesdays at 16:15 in Jakobi 2-336 and this semester it is organized by Siobhan Kattago.

Departmental Colloquium
Departmental Colloquium is a weekly meeting where faculty members and occasionally visiting speakers give presentation.
This academic year the colloquium takes place on Thursdays at 16:15 in Jakobi 2-336. The autumn semester schedule is not yet finalized.
Analytic Philosophy Seminar
In May 1991 the Analytic Philosophy Seminar was first convened in Tartu. It was founded by people from Goethe Gymnasium, but it was mainly led by Madis Kõiv. weekly seminars usually dicuss a particular texts. The seminar is open to all interested.
The seminars take place in Jakobi 2-322 on Tuesdays at 18:15.

Ethics Colloquium
The Ethics Colloquium is a series of public events organized by the Centre for Ethics, which is aimed mostly at engaging the general public in discussion of various issues in ethics. These events often concentrate on problems and topics currently debated in society.

Philosophy of interdisciplinary research practices seminar
Scientific practice is increasingly interdisciplinary. This development has also had impact on the content of philosophy of science. In the seminars, we will be discussing up-to-date journal papers and book chapters on inter-, multi-, and trans-disciplinary scientific practice. We will be covering topics such as: historical origin and development of scientific disciplines; the need to transcend the borders of scientific disciplines (and the ways in which this can be done); the relevant changes in scientific practice, science evaluation, and the relationship between science and the public; scientific imperialism; epistemic dependency; disciplinary emotions etc. In the seminars, we will be discussing up-to-date journal papers and book chapters on inter-, multi-, and trans-disciplinary scientific practice. We will be covering topics such as: historical origin and development of scientific disciplines; the need to transcend the borders of scientific disciplines (and the ways in which this can be done); the relevant changes in scientific practice, science evaluation, and the relationship between science and the public; scientific imperialism; epistemic dependency; disciplinary emotions etc. These seminars are part of the Estonian Research Council group grant “Philosophical analysis of interdisciplinary research practices” PRG462.
Time: Fridays at 14.15 every other week (23.10, 6.11, 20.11, 4.12)
Place: Big Blue Button or Jakobi 2-336 (as a hybrid seminar)
Information about the reading material and other practicalities will be distributed a week before each seminar.
Practical Philosophy Colloquium
Practical Philosophy Colloquium welcomes all who are interested in practical philosophy.
All colloquia start at 12:15 and last for 1 hour. We meed in the Centre for Ethics seminarroom (Jakobi 2-327)
